Resin flow slowing tape is a specialized material used in the processes ofvacuum infusion of composites, designed to control the flow of resin before the vacuum line. Thanks to its unique construction, it effectively limits the resin from entering the vacuum system, ensuring fuller saturation of the laminate and significant reduction of material waste.
This solution is intended for professional processes using epoxy, polyester, and vinyl ester resins, where flow control is crucial for the quality of the finished component.
The tape uses a special design based on polyester nonwoven fabric and a spiral LDPE tube with a diameter of10 mm, which creates a controlled flow channel. The resulting hydraulic resistance slows the movement of the resin, forcing it to saturate the entire reinforcement more thoroughly before reaching the suction line.
As a result, the infusion process runs more evenly, and the risk of dry spots is significantly reduced.
The tape is used in:
vacuum infusion of epoxy resins,
infusion of polyester and vinyl ester resins,
production of fiberglass components,
production of carbon fiber components,
protecting the vacuum line from resin flooding,
components with complex shapes and high reinforcement density,
large laminated surfaces using Vacuum Infusion.

| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Maximum operating temperature | 90°C (194°F) |
| Color | Sky Blue / Lilac |
| Construction | Polyester nonwoven + LDPE spiral + separating film |
| Spiral diameter | 10 mm |
| Roll dimensions | 10 cm × 25 m |
| Storage temperature | +5°C to +40°C |
| Recommended storage temperature | 10–25°C |
The tape should be placed on the flange of the mold or in the resin receiving zone, maintaining its continuity along its entire length. For maximum effectiveness, it is not recommended to place it directly on the infusion mesh or cut it into short sections, as this may limit its effectiveness.
Proper control of resin flow has a huge impact on the quality of the finished composite. The slowing tape allows for more accurate saturation of the fibers, reduces material waste, and protects the vacuum system from resin flooding. This makes the process more predictable, economical, and repeatable.
Resin flow slowing tape is a professional solution for Vacuum Infusion technology that increases process efficiency and allows for laminates of the highest quality.
